Join us Saturday January 19th for our 9th Annual
“Beat The Binion” Walk Out…
Supporting Missions to the Children in Africa
“Beat the Binion” is a charitable walk that supports continued efforts to save the lives of children orphaned to the streets of Nairobi, Kenya in Africa.
William Binion through Perpetual Praise Worship Center (PPWC) has been part of a Missions team partnering with the Caroline Wambui Mungai Foundation (CWMF) in Wangige, Kenya to help make a difference in the lives of the children, and those who love and care for them. For the past 10 years William, along with friends and family, has pledged to continue the efforts necessary to support the orphanage.
CWMF has a mission to make a lasting impact in the lives of orphans and street children by helping to bring them from “Poverty to Destiny with Love”. The HOME was opened in 2005 and William began visiting in 2008… With the help of generous friends like you, over 39 children— ages varying through 19 years of age—receive complete care and education.
On Saturday, January 19th, 2019, we “Walk it Out” in an all out effort to raise funds necessary to continue our support of the orphanage. It is a collective effort of people from all over the United States and other countries pooling their resources helping to maintain the daily operation of the Home and School. This year our project goal is to help shape the worldview of the children by exposing 2 of our college aged students to cultures and opportunities beyond their current boarders. In the summer of 2019 we plan to bring one boy and one girl, to America for one month. We are inviting you to come out, lend your support by participating in our 9th Annual Beat the Binion Walk Out, and help us in this endeavor.
We will be walking 26 miles starting from The Canoga Park Bowling Alley, through the Topanga pass, on to PCH and then to Santa Monica Pier. While many have set their goal to complete the 26 miles, others have set goals of 3, 5 and 10 miles. We are asking you to help by walking, inviting other walkers, and soliciting pledges to “Beat the Binion.”
In order to “Beat the Binion”, you solicit pledges of $1 or more for every mile you walk, plus $1 or more to “Beat the Binion”. With just 25 walkers (provided every walker commit to a financial goal of $300.00) we will have sufficient funds to broaden and enlarge the vision of these children. All pledges are tax deductible and are a great way for us to work together to help bring these children from “Poverty to Destiny-with Love”.
