Pastor William Lavon Binion

Born on Chicago’s West Side and a Graduate with honors from the notorious School of Hard
Knocks. William possesses multiple degrees in Grace, Mercy, and a Masters in Humility.
The call to ministry was revealed to him at a very young age, but much of his growing years
were surrendered to the entrapments of the street and drug activity. After graduating to a
life of salvation, the call to ministry was inevitable.

In 1991, Bishop Benjamin J. Crouch recognized the call of God upon his life and laid hands
on him to stir-up the ministerial gift. In 1993, he started a prison and street outreach
ministry that allowed him to travel the United States carrying God’s message of salvation
through Rap Songs and preaching.

Upon recognizing his call to Evangelism, he was licensed as a minister of the Gospel in 1994
through the Church of God in Christ, and has committed his life to serve. Minister Binion has
faithfully helped launch 2 ministries and assisted in the accelerated growth of another to
above 2000 members through evangelism. In 2009, he pioneered a group of 10 missionaries
from the church he was attending Living Praise Christian Center (LPCC), where he served
as Minister of Evangelism. They traveled to Nairobi, Kenya and their work in Africa was full
of much progress and fulfillment. Minister Binion has since taken complete charge of the
Missions Ministry to Kenya and is fully committed to the operations of an orphanage there.

After graduating a three-year study of the Gospel through LPCI (Living Praise Christian
Institute) he became an even more avid studier of God’s Word at which a pressing weight to
do more for God’s Kingdom was heavy upon him. In August 2010 while serving in Nairobi
and attending worship at Deliverance Church in Wangige Kenya, the Lord spoke to Minister
Binion reminding him of his call to pastoral leadership. It was then that Perpetual Praise
Worship Center (PPWC) was conceived in his heart. In February 2011 the baby was born
and PPWC witnessed its birth. Since then, we have partnered with Pastor Murage and
Deliverance Church to support their missions’ efforts there in Kenya. We are a ministry
committed to serving, teaching and transforming lives.
